The fair runs from 9.30 a.m. until 3.30 pm. There will be 105 stands carrying a mix of Antiques and Collectables plus 4 furniture stands. The first Antique and Collectors Fair of 2010 will be held this Sunday 7th January Stephen Dymond Antiques will be bringing a beautifully inlaid mahogany display cabinet by Maple & Co, London & Paris. Well proportioned from the Edwardian period it measures 34” wide, 62” high, 14” deep circa 1905. Priced at £695 (photo) Baroque will be bringing a 1920's oak bookcase with two open shelves and enclosed cupboards at the sides, and two full length open shelves above. It has a solid oak panelled back, linen fold panel doors, with good patina. Measuring 48'' length, by 40'' high, by 14'' deep it is priced at £185. (photo) Also on this stand of the same quality is a carved side table with twin drop flaps standing on a triple turn base with cross stretcher. In solid oak with good colour it measures 38'' in length and 16'' deep, with a height of 24'' and is priced at £145. (photo) Michael Trafford will be bringing a Rosewood and Mahogany inlaid 20th century Display Cabinet on turned feet measuring 30” wide x 41” high x 12” deep priced at £220. (photo) Also on this stand will be a 19th Century Oak Barley Twist Gateleg Table measuring 36” wide x 28½” high x 14” closed and 40” open priced at £275. (photo) together with a late 20th Century Oak Extending Dining Table with five chairs and two Carver chairs in oak with tapestry upholstery measuring 36” wide x 30” high x 84” open and 68” closed priced at £495. (photo) Dolls, Bears and Bygones will be bringing an interesting German Bisque headed doll, mould 1894 measuring approximately 10” in height wearing an intricate naval costume and priced at £350 (photo) Also on this stand will be a Marotte bisque headed doll with musical rotating movement. It is rare to find this type of toy in its original silk jester costume, this example is priced at £275 (photo) together with a miniature French mahogany bed with super original mattress and bedding including hand worked quilt and miniature lace edged pillows, priced at £395 (photo) Chapel Antiques will be bringing a silver Victorian wine goblet fully hallmarked for 1879 by the Exeter makers J Whipple & Co. The goblet is engraved with a ribbon of ivy leaves to the rim and four panels of ivy leaves to the bowl, standing 7 ⅜" in height and priced at £425 (photo) together with a fine 3 piece christening set in its original case comprising a knife, fork and spoon ornately engraved with floral decoration and hallmarks for Exeter 1875 by J Whippel & Co priced at £285 (photo) Also on this stand will be a good set of 6 Jersey silver Queens Pattern table forks with hallmarks for Exeter 1874 by JP George of Jersey 8” long and priced at £360 (photo) together with a fine silver toddy ladle with hallmarks for 1847 by the Exeter silversmith John Stone. The ladle has a pouring lip and whalebone handle also tipped with silver is in fine condition and priced at £285 (photo) Mike Pugh will be bringing The Personal History of David Copperfield (C.Dickens), Westminster Press 1911 with twenty illustrated pictures, colour by Frank Reynolds 1876 – 1953. Valued by Peter Harrington Books, London at £250, Mike is offering the book at £150 (photo) together with a Whitefriars cinnamon bark triangle vase by Geoffrey Baxter, 9674, dating from the 1960’s, priced at £175 (photo) Also on this stand will be a pair of Murano Courtier Figures dating from the 1960’s and measuring approximately 12” in height, priced at £180 (photo) Brenda Smith will be bringing a very heavy sky blue Murano bowl approximately 9” in diameter. Exquisitely decorated with golden flamingos and signed ‘Lowozione A Mans.
